June 2nd 2020
Leo DelZotto, President of Cardiac Health Foundation of Canada announces that the 36th anniversary of the Walk of Life will be held virtually on June 27th 2020. Our goal in supporting cardiovascular prevention & rehabilitation programs across Canada in helping heart disease patients recover is $250,000. Heart disease is the leading cause of death worldwide and for Women living in Canada.
This virtual Walk of Life will provide opportunities for individuals, families & friends to pay tribute to someone affected by heart disease by choosing to walk 1 km, 3 km, or 5 km; and to walk or run within their neighbourhoods, local parks or on treadmill within their homes. This is in keeping with social distance guidelines in ensuring everyone is being safe from COVID-19.
You can register at Cardiac Health Foundation of Canada or Walk of Life in receiving your t-shirts, certificates, and video link to the June 27th 2020, 10:00am start by Dr. Paul Oh, who will provide heart-healthy tips while ensuring we warm up adequately. The kickoff will be broadcast at 10:00am from Toronto Rehab Foundation Cardiovascular Prevention & Rehabilitation Program, 347 Rumsey Road Toronto Ontario M4G 1R7. We encourage individuals to share their photos by sending them to #WalkofLife2020 for uploading on social media.
