The Canadian population is aging faster now than at any time in our history. Technology will play a crucial role in the way we understand and treat age-related conditions such as dementia, and effective innovations will make all the difference in the quality of life of seniors, their families, and their caregivers.
The Centre for Aging + Brain Health Innovation (CABHI), powered by Baycrest, enables and accelerates the testing of promising solutions in real-world care settings, to the benefit of all of us as we age.
On March 11, 2020, CABHI’s What’s Next Canada conference in Toronto will take a deep dive into the innovations, industry, and lived experience of the aging and brain health space. The second annual event brings together a unique blend of thought leaders, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, health care providers, and companies from around the world in discussions and demonstrations of groundbreaking innovations in the longevity sector.
This year’s theme is Aging, Medtech + Mental Health.

- Keynote: The Longevity Economy Outlook. AARP’s Jean Accius, Senior Vice President of Thought Leadership and International Affairs, frames the latest research on how people aged 50 and over are fuelling economic growth, stimulating jobs, and creating opportunities for all.
- Pitch Competition: 2020 CABHI Innovation Awards. Innovative companies pitch their stories to an esteemed judging panel looking for the next “big thing” in aging and brain health. Moderated by MSNBC/NBC news anchor Richard Lui.
